Président Domaines Skiables de France

Chairman of the National Union of Cableways of France, turned into Domaines Skiables de France in October 2009, Pierre LESTAS has also become, since 1995, Managing Director of the SEM which runs La Clusaz resort ski lifts (SATELC–74).

He was manager of the ski resorts of Val d’Allos (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) from 1992 to 1995, after leading the CRS mountain rescue training center in Chamonix, from 1989 to 1992 and Briançon rescue training center before that.

Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Police in Saint-Cyr au Mont-Dore as a cadet peace officer, Pierre LESTAS also holds an advanced degree in research in alpine geography and wrote two alpine history books.

He received the insignia of Knight of the Legion of Honor in July 2011.

Sandro LAZZARI

President of Piz de Sella, Dolomiti Superski

Sandro Lazzari was born in Milano December 1st 1940, winner in Political Science at the Catholic University of Milan.

In 1963, he was in charge of the construction and operation of ski lifts in the Dolomites in Val Gardena with partner friends, in the Piz de Stella company, activity that he has continually been developing ever since.

In 1972, with the Funivia Ciampac and Contrin firm, he builds the new resort of Ciampac at Canazi, in the province of Trento, that he enlarges several times extending to Padon Marmolada area, and that up to 2010.

At the end of the 80s, he renews and revives the Plose resort in Bressanone.

In 1974, he participates in the creation of Dolomiti Superski in which he has always been in charge of the technical and organizational matters of whose he is the President since 2008.

From 1991 up to April 2014, he is the President of ANEF.

Since 1991, he is member of the board of directors of OITAF.

From 1997 to 2006, he is the President of FIANET.

At present, he continues his activity in the exploitation in Val Gardena has President of Piz de Stella firm as well as Dolomiti Superski.

Laurent Vanat is an independent consultant with skills as a general practitioner and a specialist. With a Master’s degree in commercial & industrial sciences from the University of Geneva, he has over 30 years of professional experience as both a business consultant and a senior executive in upper management. He possesses executive experience in sales, finance and general management on the one hand, and advises companies and organizations of all horizons on the other. This broad
experience means that Mr. Vanat is well acquainted with numerous industries.
Heavily involved in the tourism, hospitality & leisure industry, Mr. Vanat has closely followed the ski area industry for numerous years. In his search for information on ski areas, Mr. Vanat quickly understood the importance of tracking skier visits and collecting statistical data. Noting
the difficulty in consolidating this information for the Swiss market, he found a way to contribute to the industry by taking the initiative to start a systematic collection of visitor data and publishing an end of season report. Since winter 2004/05, this document has been recognized and
important reference for Switzerland.
In order to analyse the competitive position of major players in a wider perspective, via invitation from leading industry bodies and tourism conferences, he extended the scope of the research to produce an overview of the key industry figures worldwide. For several years now, the International Report on Snow & Mountain Tourism has become a reference in the industry, conferences and TV
interviews.
Vladislav Subbotin

Vladislav SUBBOTIN

Director Alpine Ski Industry Union Russie

He has graduated the Federal State-Funded Educational Institution of Higher Education «Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation».

Since 2011 he has been developing investment projects in the North Caucasus Federal District of the Russian Federation.

Since 2013 he has been working in the JSC «Northern Caucasus Resorts» and engaged in the development of a tourism cluster in the North Caucasus Federal District, exactly the all-season tourism and recreation complexes such as:

1/ Arkhyz (the Karachay-Cherkess Republic);

2/ Elbrus (the Kabardino-Balkar Republic);

3/ Veduchi (the Chechen Republiс);

4/ Matlas (the Republic of Dagestan).

Currently he is holding the position of Director of the Department of expert and analytical assessment.

In 2016 he was elected to the position of executive director of the non-profit organization «THE ALPINE SKI INDUSTRY UNION» (Union), which includes at present 25 Russian branch organizations.

In 2017 under the leadership of Vladislav Subbotin representatives of the Union have shown the initiative in drafting an assignment of the Russian Prime Minister
D. Medvedev about the Concept of development in the ski industry in the Russian Federation until 2035. The Concept is a fundamentally new document, aimed at the complex development of branch.

At present, the draft of Concept has been developed and is being approved by the federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation.
