Jean-Frédéric Gonthier

Jean-Frédéric Gonthier is currently the Director of the Saint-Lary-Soulan Tourist Office in the French Pyrenees, where he oversees destination strategy and the development of a truly four-season mountain resort. A specialist in place marketing and spa/thermal tourism, he previously led the Tourist Office of Gréoux-les-Bains and then the Tourist Office of the Pays de Manosque / Durance Luberon Verdon Tourisme, covering 25 municipalities between Provence and the Verdon Gorges. In 2015, he initiated and chaired the Club des Offices de Tourisme des Stations Thermales, helping to build a national network of tourist offices focused on health, wellness and thermal destinations. A graduate of the University of Artois in Arras, he champions a very hands-on approach to tourism, grounded in high-quality data, close collaboration with local stakeholders, and strong promotion of destinations to both French and international markets.
