Stephan Tischler
Transportation scientist, University of Innsbruck, Chair of CIPRA Austria
After completing his studies in spatial planning and regional development at the Vienna University of Technology, Stephan Tischler worked for around 10 years in the private sector (ILF) on national and international transport infrastructure projects. Since 2012, he has been researching, planning, and teaching as a transport scientist and spatial planner at the University of Innsbruck in the Intelligent Transport Systems department, where he obtained his doctorate in 2015.
His research focuses on the interface between mobility, transport, and land use in Alpine regions. In addition to numerous research projects, lectures, publications, and teaching, Stephan Tischler has also been chairman of the international Alpine commission CIPRA in Austria since 2020.
